Charter to Santa Rosa/San Miguel Island or The Ranch. The inner islands have significant fishing pressure and often we find bigger and more plentiful game on the outer islands. That being said, conditions are often raw on the passages to Santa Rosa and San Miguel Islands with gale force winds and large seas. As a result, these charters are limited to four passengers. As keen as parents might be to tuck into some bigger fish, children tend to not love the extra time in transit and the extra motion on the water so we strongly discourage families from booking these charters. We can generally be able to confirm within 48 hours of departure whether or not passage to these outer islands is possible. If perchance the crossing from Santa Cruz to Santa Rosa/San Miguel is unsafe, we will refund the difference between the standard Anacapa/Santa Cruz Island charter and the Santa Rosa/San Miguel Island charter and pivot to a day on the more remote stretches of Santa Cruz Island.
